Let me tell you a little about what has motivated me to write.
I love to read all kinds of books. Both fiction and non-fiction. In, the world of fiction, I like Science Fiction, Political Thrillers, Action Adventure, Historical Fiction, and more.
Education is important to me (I have two masters degrees), so I love a story that is both interesting and teaches. I remember distinctly a 7th grade novel, where one of the characters calls out, “it is stupid to drown”. Later the hero of the story, works out that even though their submarine sank deep beneath the surface, they could swim to safety if they constantly pushed out air out of their lungs as it expanded. Along the way, I learned some science.
My workdays are spent as Chief Engineer for a multi-national manufacturing company. This is a great job. Amongst other things, I get share my 30+ years of experience, both my successes and failures, with younger engineers and help them become the best that they can be.
Critical to who I am is my faith in Jesus Christ. I want my stories to reflect the good character of God, and be honoring to Jesus Christ his son. I believe that a good story can be a clean story, without cussing, graphic sex, or gory violence, which feel like cheap tricks to make a story seem more edgy. Therefore, you can count on my stories to avoid those things.
